WHO IS FBN?
FBN came as a result of
a burden the Lord laid upon the heart of Pastor Clyde I. Eborn to use
the airwaves as a means to reach people with the Gospel. After 13 long
years of prayer and red tape, WOTJ, the future headquarters of FBN went
on the air December 12, 1988. WOTJ stands for "Winning Others To Jesus."
It was a 60,000 watt noncommercial, educational FM radio station in
Morehead City, NC. Originally, the station ran approximately 18 hours a
day and was able to operate 24 hours daily within the first eighteen
months.
With the desire to
reach more souls, plans for expansion began with the acquisition of an
automation system in the fall of 1992. The summer of 1993 saw much
growth. The first two local translators went on line in Eastern North
Carolina and the Fundamental Broadcasting Network, FBN, was established.
FBN then began broadcasting via satellite over their first affiliate,
WMLJ, in Summersville, WV. The Lord has blessed abundantly over the
years by adding translators, satellitors, and other full service station

As the Lord blessed the
ministry of FBN, reaching the world with the Gospel became the goal.
This first became a reality through the use of the internet with a real
audio link on the world wide web. FBN can be heard anywhere in the world
with the use of a multi-media computer at our website.
The greatest
opportunity to reach a multitude of lost souls for the Savior was
bestowed upon FBN in October, 1999. At that time, God gave us a 750,000
watt ERP shortwave station, WTJC, which stands for "Working Till Jesus
Comes." Currently, WTJC is operating 24 hours daily on 9370 kHz. WTJC
broadcasts in English except for the following:
Chinese programming is
aired from 4:30 - 5:00 AM, and Arabic programs can be
heard from 11:00 -
11:30 PM local Eastern time.
Our second shortwave
station, WBOH, Worldwide Beacon of Hope" went on the air the summer of
2002 and is licensed for the same power as WTJC. WBOH broadcasts around
the clock on
5920 kHz in English except for two hours of Spanish music
and messages which can be heard from 6:05 - 7:00 AM and 8:00 - 9:00 PM
local Eastern time.
Both shortwave stations
have had contacts from all 7 continents, including Neumayer Base in
Antarctica. Between the two stations we have heard from listeners in
over 100 countries, and all 50 states. As a result of our shortwave
broadcasts, the most exciting news of all is that we know of souls that
have been saved in China, Liberia, Costa Rica, Austria, and Poland, as
well as here in America! We praise God for the great things He has
done!
HOW IS FBN
SUPPORTED?
FBN is a listener
supported ministry, supported by the prayers and love gifts of God's
people. Individuals send monthly support and churches take up specially
designated love offerings for FBN. We accept checks and money orders
made payable to FBN, and Visa, and MasterCard credit cards and check
cards. We are not able to accept any other types of credit cards.
HOW CAN I GET
A RECORDING OR A SONG THAT I HEARD ON FBN?
If a listener notes the
time and date they hear a song, they can call Monday through Friday
between 8:30 and 4:00, and we will provide the information for them if
the song is still available. We have many songs from old record albums
that are no longer available.
HOW CAN I GET
MUSIC LIKE I HEAR ON FBN?
There are four sources
that carry a large amount of conservative Christian music. They all have
catalogs and toll free numbers.

HOW CAN I GET
MY PROGRAM ON FBN?
You may send a demo of
your program on CD, preferably in the MP3 format, to FBN along with some
information about your ministry for future consideration. As we have a
good library of music that we air, it is best not to include music on
programs. Programs of 5 - 15 minutes in length are easier to place. We
are non-commercial, educational and can not charge for airtime, however,
we do operate on a love offering basis with our program providers.
HOW CAN WE GET
AN FBN STATION IN OUR AREA?
At this time the
FCC is not accepting any new applications for non-commercial,
educational stations. This has been the case since the spring of 2000.
The only options available at this time would be to buy a station or
lease time from an existing station. Check our
engineering page
for links to the FCC "dark" lists for AM and FM. "Dark" means the
station is off the air for whatever reason. If you
find a station on the list in your area, we can help you locate the
contact information so you can check into the possibility of buying the
station or leasing time. If there are no stations near you on the list,
contact FBN and we can give you the name and number of a radio broker
that sells stations. There is no charge from the broker just for
checking for anything in your area.
